UX/UI Design

Rydr App

Human-centred design is a design approach that focuses on understanding the needs, experiences, and emotions of real users in order to create meaningful and accessible solutions. Through researching the experiences of young motorbike riders, it became evident that many beginner riders struggle to feel confident and connected within existing riding communities. Young motorbike riders will be analysed thoroughly to better understand their behaviours, motivations, pain points, and emotional experiences when engaging with riding culture.

This project was a research-driven investigation into the everyday experiences, challenges and needs of a specific user. The app was developed around a close friend’s experiences as a motorbike rider, using her challenges and passions as the foundation for the design.

Although digital product design was different from the areas I am typically most passionate about, the human-centred design process made me realise how much I value empathy, human connection, purpose and creating work that responds meaningfully to people’s experiences.
